Finis 1.0.2 turns the tree of your documents into the outline of the book and makes writing more accessible.
- Document names become titles: in Export Book, one choice starts every document with its name, under its folder’s title, so the tree in the sidebar becomes the outline of the book.
- VoiceOver: every control has its name, the choice of view reads as a single control, and the board’s cards and the outline’s rows can be chosen, opened and moved earlier or later with VoiceOver’s actions, without dragging.
- Increase Contrast: secondary words, search prompts, Markdown marks and the terracotta reach at least 4.5:1.
- iPad only: the page’s text grows to 40 points, more than twice the standard size.

Finis 1.0.1 brings the Library, import from Ulysses and Bear, the board by tag and dozens of improvements.
- One home: the Library. The welcome window, the Library and Open become a single page with two views, Library and Recents; under each project you see where it lives.
- Start writing right away: New Markdown File opens a blank page, and its name comes from the first line.
- From Ulysses, Bear and iA Writer: File › Import from TextBundle…
- Split at Headings turns a long file into one document per chapter; Add to a Project… brings a file opened on its own into a book.
- Paste as Note (⌃⌘V): a clipping from the web becomes a note, with a link to the page and the date.
- By Tag, on the board: a map of where characters, places and threads appear. The Outline shows one line per document, twice as many at a glance.
- View › Emphasize › Dialogue keeps what the characters say in full contrast and dims the narration, for rereading dialogue.
- In Statistics: the most used words, your whole history from day one, and a daily goal, even without a deadline.
- In export: parts or chapters for the whole book, a page of its own for dedications and epigraphs, and export for a single file or note.
- Search with regular expressions, and Collections in the search field.
- At night the accent is terracotta; a document’s status is the color of its icon.
- Fixes: dragging on the board and in the Outline, the Export Book sheet on small screens, and much more.
