Writing Modes

Two ways to stay with the sentence: the typewriter keeps your line in the middle, focus dims the rest. Use them together or alone.

Choose them from the Writing Modes button at the top right, or from the View menu. They work on the page; in the board, the outline and continuous text, the button stays gray.

Typewriter

The line you are writing stays halfway down the window and the text moves beneath it, like paper in a typewriter. You can scroll back to reread: the line returns to the middle as soon as you type or move the cursor.

In the Writing Modes panel, choose where the line stays: Top, on the third line of the window; Middle; Bottom, three lines from the edge.

Focus

None
All the text alike.
Sentence
The sentence with the cursor stands out, the rest is dimmed.
Paragraph
The whole paragraph stands out.

Dimming happens only on screen: the text, what you copy and the exported book stay as they are.
